Its amazing how quickly life can change and take you in a direction you never imagined. In Winter 2010, I gave up my career as a High School Counselor to become a "Stay at Home Mom". Since then, I have found that I have a tendency to keep myself busy with various projects besides typical mommy duties. One of my favorite projects was practicing my photography! After taking numerous pictures (mostly of my son) and sharing them with others, I was told I missed my calling as a Professional Photographer. Soooo, after much encouragement and support I decided to start my own photography business.
I am a very casual person with a little bit of an artsy side to me... you wont find me in a dress and high heels and when you do it's a rare occurrence! I'm a shorts and flip-flops kind of girl! I love the water, anything to do with the water, and having fun. So what does this have to do with my photography? The answer is photography style! My favorite form of photography is portrait photography. My style is somewhat casual... yes you'll pose for some pictures, but my favorite pictures are natural ones (ex. you walking, kids running, hugging, laughing, etc...). I try not to coach you too much into funky feeling positions, instead I ask you to do something that is comfortable to you! Keep in mind this doesn't mean we won't get beautiful and elegant images... you just wont feel like a stiff mannequin while getting your pics taken.
